AR , VR AND MR : THE IMMERSION TECHNOLOGY EDIT !!!
Imagine a world where the lines of virtual and real life environments have ceased to exist , well fact of the matter is that we are actually heading towards a world where this would be possible. This blurring of differentiation has been successful due to the emergence of immersion technologies that work upon creating an environment , which contains elements of both , that is , real and virtual environment . Now , these technologies work by either , introducing virtual elements into our world or by creating a completely separate immersion environment. We would be learning about all the different immersion technologies further in the blog, so let’s dive into it :
WHAT IS VIRTUAL REALITY?
Virtual reality(VR) is the creation of an entirely new immersion environment. It is an interactive computer generated depiction of a real or artificial world or activity .Using VR devices such as HTC Vive , Oculus Rifts or Google Cardboard , users can be transported into a number of real world and imagined environments. We require special VR devices for viewing the created immersion.TO understand better let’s take an example, creating an entire virtual travelling experience, by being in a car travelling along the hills , is a form of VR , as we are fully immersing ourselves in the experience , with no connection to our real time environment .VR can be used in a host of industries and click on to the links to know more about scope of VR:

WHAT IS AUGMENTED REALITY?
Augmented reality(AR) is basically creating 3D virtually immersive creatures or designs and placing them in the real world , it’s different from VR , as it provides us to be entracted with our real environment with having virtually immersive features placed in it .It adds digital elements to a live view often using camera on our smartphones.It is basically real-world view with additional, computer -generated enhancements. Let’s take an example , a real-time view of your own living room that you can virtually enhance by changing the colours and decor virtually , is an example of AR. WHAT IS MIXED REALITY?
Mixed reality(MR) is a technology where real world objects interact with digital /virtual elements, example, placing a virtual pencil on a real table.Mixed reality is a comparatively new concept and is in its initial stages.It is starting to develop with Microsoft’s Hololens, which is one of the most notable early mixed reality apparatus. VR , MR ,and AR are all forms of Extended Reality(ER), which is an umbrella term that covers all the various technologies that enhance our senses ,whether they are providing immersion experience within our real world or creating a completely different virtual environment.
Virtual Reality is easy to distinguish, as it is a completely virtual experience , where else the line of distinguish between Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality might be a bit daunting, as mixed reality seems to a more interactive form of AR .However , both AR and MR are in it initial stages as compared to VR .These technologies have a far and outreaching future , but today we’re in the initial stages of learning and understanding them , as there approach is pretty different from the existing technologies, but in the coming years these immersion technologies would be a huge boom!!!!!!!
